After trekking through the eight hills, you come before
Meesapulimala. According to the locals, such a name is given to the place
because from far this hill seems like the face of a tiger. If observed
carefully, you will also feel the same. The trek up the Meesapulimala hill is a
bit tougher than the other hills, as it is considered to be the second tallest
peak in south India after Anamudi. One will get a captivating view of the
surrounding areas from the top of this hill.
In between the trekking route, one will come across some
tea plantations and are considered as the highest tea estates in Asia, placed
at a height of around 217 m above sea level.
Another chief attraction in the valley of Messsappulimala
is the Anayirankal Lake.
