Hegemony of Forest at Seethathodu, Kerala


Majestic wonders of Kerala which is renowned for its tropical hamlet for designing the course of Gods own country has the entire ambiance within its source to entice any kind of tourist from any part of the world.

Located at a close proximity of Pathanamthitta this village is just 20 km away from this site and its abundance of forest which can be called as gift of nature towards kerala as a whole and is administered by Ranni Forest Division.

Nearby Attraction
As the place which is dominated by the bounty of thick woodland has many other attractions which might take traveller by surprise, some of those are Moozhiyar dam surrounded by thick forest at either side this dam shares major role in creating the chief Hydro electric project of kerala.

Ranni
Nestled at the banks ofthe River Pamba this town is famous for its Sabarimala Hindu pilgrimage where number of tourist comes every year to pay homage to god. Beside that it’s natural surrounding which is covered by hilly area, thick forest and amazing climate allures the mind of travellers.

Kakki Reservoir
Renowned as artificial lake the reservoir has its own standard. Developed as tourist spot by the department of tourism in the year 1966 here you can enjoy the moment of your life.

Aranmula
Preserving culture and tradition from the year here you will have a chance to see the art and craft of kerala people beside that Snake boat race that happens annually calls for a tourist drift. Apart from this site there are other attractions which require equal attention and those are Kakkad Power house, St. Thomas Orthodox, Valiyapall, Aranmula Vallamkali and ijnan Kala Vedi.

How to Reach Seethathodu
By Rail, although there is no railway station however you can look to end up at Kottayam Rail Way Station which 41 km away from Seethathodu and from here one would have drive the road ahead to reach Seethathodu.
