Spiritual Epitome of Mullakkal Rajeswari Temple

Mullakkal Rajeswari Temple, which is situated at the centre of Allappuzha city of Kerala to be precise at a site of Alleppey town, is renowned for its structural beauty and its symphony that allows people to understand secularism in true way is one of the most prominent and spiritual temple of Kerala.

This temple which is dedicated to Mullakkal Rajeswari, who is believed to be the mother of Allappuzha, is designed in pure Kerala style and what more amazing about this temple is the roof of the Synagogue which has no cover and it is believed to have done in that way so that rain and sun could feel the vibe of temple.

History
As per the source it is believed that the main figure of this holy temple was brought by Thekkumar who was a soldier and in its first phase the figure was placed in jasmine garden and later it was hall back to its current place and then temple was constructed under the guidelines of Devanarayana King.

Architecture
Made in pure kerala style, the figure has one unique background, its open roof which is done in a way to expose the deity to sun and rain is something you will not see in every temple, this exclusive thought has made this temple an art of wisdom.

Festivals
Usually you will witness two major festivals which gets celebrated at a gate of this temple and those two are Navarathiri festival and Thaipooya kavadi festival. Navarathiri which is celebrated for nine days is one of the most important festivals in India and here it calls for the same but the main celebration starts in last two days when they conduct procession, decorates elephants and holds many cultural events.

Thaipooya kavadi goes for one day celebration at temple and in this festival 15 Kavadisn participates in parade and allows devotes to play their part.

Mullakkal Chirappu, is another significant festival and in this event devotes gathers from all across the zone to pay homage and tribute to Mullakkal Rajeswari.

Spiritual vibe that connects all the people from all across the world is eventually the most important feature of this temple where people of all religion could come and witness the structural importance encourages true spirit of secular features.
